Independent Medical Evaluations include a comprehensive report entailing: review of documents, medical, psychosocial and occupational histories, a physical examination and response to case specific inquiries, such as: diagnosis, causation, prognosis, maximum medical improvement, impairment, disability, restrictions, limitations, and treatment/therapeutic interventions.

Combines an Independent Medical Evaluation with comprehensive and objective Functional Testing performed by highly qualified Functional Evaluators using multiple methodologies and scientifically proven testing equipment. The physician reviews the objective functional testing data to provide an opinion regarding the examinee’s physical status related to the case. The report can also address diagnosis, causation, prognosis, progress of recovery to date, maximum medical improvement, impairment, disability, restrictions, limitations, treatment/therapeutic interventions.

Viewpoint’s Independent Psychiatric Evaluation includes a review of documents, complete social, educational and vocational history, mental status, ancillary psychometric testing, and response to case specific inquiries.

A Neuropsychological Assessment can delineate type of severity of cognitive defects, identify cognitive strengths and weaknesses as well as learning disabilities, clarify diagnosis and etiology, address issues of symptom validity, and provide recommendations for rehabilitation, occupational and educational planning, and psychological treatment.

A Medical Consultant assesses employees with short term illness or injury where fitness to work is in question. Includes case/site specific history, physical examination and conclusions/opinions.

A physician completes medical and diagnostic testing to evaluate fitness for employment.

Vocational Rehabilitation Evaluations are provided by a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant. This assessment with report provides a comprehensive objective review of an individual’s employability before and after the development of disability. Psychometric and vocational testing is included as part of the evaluation process.

Medical Consultant reviews the file without assessing the examinee and generates a report based on the provided documentation.

Diagnostic, Ancillary Services & Travel Arrangement.

Senior Occupational Physician reviews documents of recently completed multiple evaluation reports and provides expert opinion of synopsis for all opinions rendered.

An Occupational Health Physician oversees assessments by physician specialists and related professionals for complex, multifactor, or chronic cases such as chronic pain, chronic fatigue, and fibromyalgia.

Designed to specifically address the needs of Auto Insurers, the AIM is presented in a template report design to assist insurers in managing injuries resulting from motor vehicle accidents.  The physician evaluation is focused on the injury sustained, and addresses diagnosis, prognosis and treatment recommendations.  Recommendations for appropriate case management are also available.  The AIM product can be supplemented with objective functional testing to provide further delineation of the claimant’s abilities, ability to meet job demands for a return to work or to provide a baseline status in anticipation of further treatment. 

For usage by Alberta Auto Insurers.

A template report designed for Certified Examiners whose opinion is requested to determine whether or not an injury fits within the Alberta Minor Injury Regulations and whether there is a Serious Impairment. The report includes all the necessary required information as set out in Form M1-3.
